Hey! Thanks for coming back after a bit of a hiatus.

In June this year, I achieved the impossible and convinced our corporate IT team to let me run our office systems on a Windows® (*spit*) partition of my MacBook. This was quite a coup and is the first baby step in my cunning plan to convert our firm. Already the local IT team are looking at MacBooks (albeit MacBooks running Windows) as an alternative to the much uglier IBM notebooks we currently use. My evil plan is afoot...

Anyway, my little coup necessitated a complete reinstall, to create some room for the new partitioned Windows® (*hack*) section of my hard drive. Unfortunately, I neglected to back-up some pretty vital iWeb files, which meant that meant that a complete rebuild of my website was necessary. I have to say this was pretty devastating. I spent a lot of time designing spruiked.com and the thought of having to do it again was just a little, well, disheartening. So I did nothing. For quite some time.

Then I bought iLife 08. I’m not sure why. Maybe it was the promise of new and exciting features in iWeb (I can’t say GarageBand really gets me going). Maybe I was dazzled by all the shiny things in the Regent Street Apple store. Maybe it was jet lag. I don’t know, but I handed over my credit card.

There’s nothing like spending nearly a hundred bucks to get you motivated. Only two weeks later and here’s my first entry. There are a few changes. My creative spirit isn’t quite what it was, so we’re all stuck with this somewhat pleasing (if not bland) iWeb theme. Maybe later on I’ll get inspired and change the colour or something, but don’t hold your breath. The other big change is there are no photos. During the hiatus I saw the light and opened a Flickr! Pro account. So everything’s over there at Flickr! It’s a much friendlier environment.
